Future baseball stars will have a chance to to play on a worldwide stage by first taking the field locally. USA Baseball is hosting an open development camp, which is an official selection event for the 12U National Team, next week in Peachtree City.
The USA Baseball 12U Open Development Camp will feature curriculum developed by current and former members of the national team staff. The camp will feature Team USA training techniques while focusing on player development, evaluation, and plenty of fun. The 12U Open Development Camp will also serve as an identification event for the 2016 12U National Team player selection process.
The selection process is open to players born on or after January 1, 2004. Interested players can choose either Wednesday, June 1 or Thursday, June 2 at the Peachtree City Baseball Soccer Complex at 1125 Hwy. 74 South. You only need to participate one of the two days. The cost is $65.
Players check-in at 8:30 a.m. with the camp beginning at 9 a.m. Camp should end at noon both days.
While the selection event is geared towards the 12U team, 8, 9, and 10-year-olds can sign up and benefit from the camp and exposure to USA Baseball.
