In a surprising development, the Board of Directors of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce announced they have accepted the resignation of President and CEO Carlotta Ungaro. Kimberly Schnoes will serve as interim president effective immediately.

Ungaro’s resignation took effect April 12. She had been with the Chamber since 2015. Schnoes will serve as interim president while the Chamber conducts a national search for a new president.

Schnoes is the immediate past chair of the Chamber Board. Her leadership experience includes roles as Co-Chair of Leadership Fayette, Chair of the Chamber’s Workforce and Education Committee, and steering committee member and Education Committee Chair for Fayette Visioning.

“Kim is a great choice to lead during this transition, and we are fortunate to have someone who knows this chamber and our community so well,” said current Board Chair Stephen Childs. “Our Board is committed to a search process that includes key stakeholders in the success of our business community.”
