Tyrone Police have arrested 36-year-old Ricky Waller and charged him with felony Robbery in connection with the Saturday, Oct. 18 wallet-snatching that took place around 1 p.m. that day at the Publix grocery store in Tyrone.
Waller reportedly took a credit card from that wallet belonging to female Publix customer and 15 minutes later used it to buy a pair of iPads at Target in Peachtree City.
Waller was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Hampton Inn in Fairburn, which Chief Brandon Perkins reported to be where Waller worked. According to Fayette County Jail records, Waller is a Marietta resident, though police referred to him as being a Riverdale resident.
Perkins said the department’s Facebook and Twitter followers helped identify Waller, leading to his arrest.
