From the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office:
“Effective [Tuesday afternoon], a 200-ft section of Heritage Park Way between SR 85 (S. Glynn Street) and the rear entrance to the Fayette County Stonewall complex is closed to thru traffic. The closure is due to a collapsed 60-inch storm pipe beneath the road.
“The Road Department will try to make temporary repairs on Wednesday (4/13), with hopes of re-opening the road until the pipe can be replaced. We’ll send another (more…)

Fayette County’s Relay for Life fund raiser for American Cancer Society is about a month away, and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is showing its support in a “flashy” way, you might say.
Just over a week ago, the 2014 Dodge Charger patrol car driven by Lieutenant Terry Black was wrapped in a “Paint Your World Purple” graphic meant to draw attention to the May 13 event, which will take place at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone.
As well, Relay for Life donations, which are tax deductible, can be made at the sheriff’s office on Johnson Avenue in Fayetteville, (more…)
