GFL, the solid waste and recycling collection contractor for the City of Fayetteville, announced it will consolidate its collection dates for customers within the city limits of Fayetteville beginning the week of June 6. Instead of collecting Monday through Friday each week, GFL will now operate all of its routes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

“We are using a computerized routing system, which allows us to better route our customers for more efficient service,” GFL announced in direct messaging to City customers. “This efficiency for us translates to great service and as fair a rate as possible for you.”

The City of Fayetteville published the updated information on its website, https://www.fayetteville-ga.gov/385/Solid-Waste, which includes a downloadable route document detailing which City streets will be served on which days.

Solid waste will still be collected on a weekly basis, and recycling will still be collected on an every-other-week basis.
