Fayetteville Police are looking for these two suspects in connection with the Dec. 26 robbery at Betty’s Fine Collectibles.

Fayetteville Police announced Thursday morning that a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of two women who teamed up to steal an employee’s purse at Betty’s Fine Collectibles across the street from the Old Fayette County Courthouse in Downtown Fayetteville.

According to Lieutenant Mike Whitlow, the incident took place Dec. 26 when the two women entered the store and one of the women distracted a store employee while the other woman walked behind the sales counter and stole the employee’s purse, which contained several credit cards. Those cards were later used at a Wal-Mart store in Griffin, and police say they have obtained video footage showing one of the same women using the stolen cards to make the purchases.

Whitlow said video footage from Betty’s Fine Collectibles shows a child being used as a lookout for the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Shawn Albea at 770-719-4224.
