Everyone has a story and a local non-profit organization is giving residents a chance to share their truths.

This weekend, the Red Clay Storytelling Festival will host several talented artists, performers, and creative curators in celebration of the art of storytelling. The events start on Friday with workshops and oral renditions from the storytellers. On Saturday, there will be more workshops and concerts.

The festival will be split across three locations in Fayette County. The locations are Brooks Chapel, the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, and Due South in Peachtree City. At each location, there will be chances to hear from some of the brightest creative collectives around the world.

Featured storytellers include Andy Offutt Irwin, Kim Weitkamp, Ray Christian, Jon Goode, Maddie Fay, Shannon McNeal, and Dan Langford, among others. They aim to tell their stories and foster growth of art appreciation. Red Clay Creative Consultant Tricia Stearns and Debbie From will host the festival.

Stearns was part of the staff that organized the festival. Chief Bard Leonard Presberg and Festival Director Anthony Vinson join her on the board. The trio hopes to educate the public and provide the purest form of expression through the arts.

Sponsors include the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, Southern Order of Storytellers, and the Cat Care of Fayette among others.
