Rapper Rick Ross says he bailed out fellow inmates after drug arrest

William-RobertsAccording to his twitter feed, rapper Rick Ross made some friends in the Fayette County jail this week and posted bond for them when he was bonding himself out.

“Met some real n—as Lastnight. When I bonded out I bonded them out too. #Boss #BailMoney,” the rapper wrote on his twitter feed, under the handle @rickyrozay.

Ross, whose real name is William Roberts, was arrested Wednesday and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a window tint violation.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the Bentley driven by  the 39-year-old Ross was stopped on Ga. Highway 279 for having window tint darker than legally allowed. Deputies smelled marijuana coming from the car during the stop.

Ross gave consent for a search of the vehicle and marijuana was found. He and a female passenger were arrested.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office could not comment on whether Ross posted bond for anyone else in the jail, only confirming that he used a bond company to post his bond of $2,400.

In recent years Ross purchased the estate on Highway 279 which was famously owned by former heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield.

In addition to tweeting about bonding out his new friends, Ross tweeted out a picture of himself getting a new haircut.

“Fresh out Fresh cut #MMG The Empire,” Ross tweeted, referring to his record label Maybach Music Group.
