PTC Police investigating fatal hit and run

A 17-year-old male is dead, and Peachtree City Police are asking for the public’s help with information on an alleged hit and run fatality.

According to Lt. Odilia Bergh, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the roadway on Hwy. 74 around 11:20 p.m. Thursday night. Once on the scene at Hwy. 74 southbound just north of Paschal Road, they found Christopher Jordan Babilonia of Peachtree City laying in the roadway with severe injuries indicating he had been hit by a vehicle. Babilonia was rushed to Fayette Piedmont Hospital where he passed shortly after arrival.

There were no known witnesses to the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
