Fayetteville Police are looking for a suspect in an early Monday morning armed robbery that reportedly took place at the Waffle House restaurant located at 700 North Glynn Street (Hwy. 85) just south of the Hwy. 314 intersection.
According to police reports, at approximately 12:17 a.m. Monday, the suspect is said to have held out a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded that an employee give him money from the cash register. The suspect is a black male wearing black pants, a black shirt, and a black skull mask.
“He also stole a female customer’s wallet and fled,” said Public Information Officer Lt. Mike Whitlow, who noted the suspect did leave with an undisclosed amount of money and that there were no injuries associated with the incident.
“We are looking at surveillance video from Waffle House and area businesses,” Whitlow said.
