Fayetteville Police have released video camera stills showing suspects involved in Sunday evening’s armed robbery inside the Flash Foods convenience store located at the corner of highways 314 and 85.
The stills reveal that one of the suspects put a clerk into something like a headlock with his left hand while holding a gun to the clerk’s head with his right hand.

Two men suspected of not being Carolina Panthers or Denver Broncos fans are now being tracked down by Fayetteville Police for an armed robbery that reportedly took place around 8:43 p.m. at the Flash Foods convenience store located at the corner of highways 85 and 314.
It is also possible the men, described as black males in their early 20s, simply ran out of Super Bowl beer because they reportedly stole a 12-pack of Bud Light along with a carton of Newport cigarettes before pointing a handgun at the clerk and demanding cash from the register. Police say the pair got away, for now, with $160 cash, the beer, and the smokes.
The man allegedly carrying the gun was described as having short hair and was wearing black pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes. The other had dreadlocks and was wearing a black toboggan, black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt under the sweatshirt, and white tennis shoes, Whitlow said.
Whitlow said the gun was not discharged, and nobody was hurt during the incident. He said the pair were seen driving north on Hwy. 85 after the incident in what is believed to be a white BMW.
Whitlow also said they have surveillance video from the incident location and will be releasing images of the suspects soon. He said they would be asking neighboring businesses for access to their surveillance video as well to help put together the clues that will lead to arrests in the case.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441.
