Police issue BOLO in counterfeit case

Surveillance footage shows the suspect and car involved in two counterfeit cases.

The Fayetteville Police Department is on the lookout for someone passing counterfeit currency.

The department announced on its Facebook page that the incidents occurred earlier this month.

On June 11 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the male pictured entered the Chic-Fil-A located 875 South Glynn St. and purchased an item from the location. It was later determined the male used a counterfeit $100 bill.

The same male entered the Publix located at 840 Glynn Street S and again purchased an item using another counterfeit $100 bill at that location.

Anyone with information on the identity of this individual please contact Detective T Baker at the Fayetteville Police Department,” the post read.
