PEACHTREE CITY — The Peachtree City police department had a busy April 1 with the arrest of two individuals on multiple charges, including felony drug possession.
In one incident, officers responded to a call about an individual possibly being impaired and driving recklessly.
According to Peachtree City Police Spokesperson Chris Hyatt, the officer stopped the vehicle, searched the car, and conducted a thorough investigation of the incident.
The officer arrested Jeff S. Aristile, 32, of Jonesboro, on charges of felony drug possession, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, DUI of alcohol and drugs, failure to maintain lane and one turning movements/signals requirement.
In a separate incident, police responded to a suspicious vehicle in an area of Huddleston Road. This area is one that police had been watching, according to Hyatt.
When officers arrived on the scene, they searched the vehicle and located a weapon and THC vape cartridges. According to Hyatt, the individual was presumed to be committing a felony in the process of the arrest.
Officers arrested Pierre R. Settles, 29, of Douglasville, on two felony charges following the search. The first is drug possession with intent of sale and manufacture. The second is possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a crime.
Both Aristile and Settles were booked in Fayette County Jail.
