The Peachtree City Police Department received custody of Christian Biasutto-Ortiz on Feb. 15, charging him with five counts of child molestation and five counts of sexual battery, according to records from the Fayette County Jail.
According to Peachtree City Police Spokesperson Donte Philips, Biasutto-Ortiz was in Florida when the department was notified about his alleged crimes.
The Miami Dade Police Department initially contacted The PTCPD in January of 2021 regarding potential crimes committed by Biasutto-Ortiz in August of 2020. It is unclear what led the Miami Dade Police department to contact the PTCPD, but court records don’t indicate an arrest at that time.
After an investigation, the PTCPD gathered probable cause that Biasutto-Ortiz committed acts of child molestation within Peachtree City and issued an arrest warrant in February of 2021, Philips said.
According to court records from Miami Dade County, Biassutto-Ortiz was taken into custody one year later, on Feb. 1, 2022, on fugitive warrant charges from the state of Georgia.
On Feb. 15, 2022, The Peachtree City Police Department extradited Biasutto-Ortiz to Georgia, where he was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail, where he remains today.
Additional information on this case has yet to be released.
