PEACHTREE CITY — Burglars in the early morning of March 5 stole between $8,000-10,000 in merchandise after breaking into a Peachtree City package store, police say.
On March 5, at 4:41 a.m., officers responded to a package store near the Kedron Village Shopping center in Peachtree City.
According to Peachtree City Police Department Spokesperson Chris Hyatt, three people entered the store and stole a minimum of $8,000-10,000 of liquor.
According to police, a large circular stone was thrown into the glass door and gained entry.
The store’s front door was found with its glass broken, and it appeared that entry was made. The responding officers cleared the business, and no one was located inside.
Police notified the store’s owner, who arrived on the scene. After inspection, the store owner told police that some merchandise was missing and gave an approximation of value, the police report indicates.
The scene was processed, and the victim was provided a case pamphlet. The case is still under investigation.
