Around 8 a.m. on the morning of December 26, Bremen Police responded to a panic alarm at their local O’Reilly Auto Parts. A black male wearing a ski mask forced employees into a back office at gun point. One officer confronted the suspect, later identified as Dante Starks, who pointed his gun at the officer before fleeing the building. Two more officers were waiting and took him into custody at gun point.

Starks, 35 years old, is wanted in Tyrone, Villa Rica, Douglas and Fulton counties in a string of armed robberies. He is wanted in connection with a Dec. 18 robbery of the Tyrone O’Reilly Auto Parts store.

In that incident, another car tried to stop him from fleeing the scene by ramming his vehicle. Starks shot into the car and hit the driver’s daughter’s car seat.

At last update, Starks remained in Carroll County jail on numerous charges, including armed robbery and aggravated assault.
