Multiple agency chase leads to arrest of wrestler’s son

A late morning chase Nov. 7 that started in Peachtree City, but involved several jurisdictions, led to the arrest of a legendary wrestler’s son.
Paul Ordorff, 51, was charged with a felony fleeing officer charge, along with numerous traffic violations, said Peachtree City Police Department spokesperson Matt Myers.
The chase began at 10:30 a.m. on Ga. Highway 74 near Kelly Drive when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a hands-free violation. The vehicle did not stop, and the officer did not pursue, since that was the only charge at the time, Myers said.
The vehicle was next encountered on Rockaway Road, where Senoia officers attempted to stop him, but once again, the driver refused.
The car then headed back to Peachtree City where officers from Senoia, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Department, and Peachtree City continued the chase on Ga. Highway 74, Myers said.
Peachtree City officials threw a stop stick at one of his wheels that slowed the car down, and he eventually turned into The Retreat apartment complex near Kedron Village. Myers said the suspect left the vehicle and was later discovered by the Peachtree City Police Department’s K-9 unit in the woods near the complex. Orndorff was arrested and Myers said more charges are pending.
Orndorff’s father, also named Paul Orndorff, is a legendary professional wrestler best known as “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff.
