Momma’s restaurant closes doors

Downtown Fayetteville has one less destination restaurant to go to after this past weekend. Momma’s Bourbon St. Grille closed this Sunday and leaves a hole in the downtown eating and destination district. The owners announced the closure on Facebook.

“We have decided to pursue other adventures and will be closing Momma’s at the end of the weekend. Although we hate this for the community, it is something that we need to do for ourselves. We do have several potential restauranteurs that are extremely interested and hopefully that will come to fruition soon so that you will still plenty of options on the downtown square,” the owners wrote.

The owners said this was a positive move for them, but they did have regrets.

“Our only regret is missing the smiling faces of our staff members and customers on a daily basis. Many lifelong friendships have been made over the last several years and those will stay strong. Please do not send condolences as this is a very positive move for us and our future. Hope to see you all out and about in Fayetteville.”
