Investigators with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office say they have a suspect in a Wednesday morning Entering Auto that took place at McCurry Park on McDonough Road east of Fayetteville.
According to reports, the incident was reported around 11:30 a.m., and the suspect, who was seen by the victim’s vehicle, is described as a large, black woman who rode away in a light-blue Toyota Camry. The victim’s credit card was reportedly used shortly afterward at the Shell gas station located just inside Clayton County along Hwy. 85.
Anyone with information to help identify the suspect is asked to contact Detective Ussery at 770-716-4755.
Three other Entering Auto incidents were recently reported at McCurry Park as well, and Sheriff Barry Babb is asking residents and guests at all county parks to store valuables in the trunks of your vehicles and not in plain sight, which is what often lures would-be thieves to hit the cars they choose.
