Huge development on PTC’s border is back

A huge residential development planned to border Peachtree City will go before the Coweta County Commission Nov. 19.

The proposed development is located on Fischer Road, and the applicant, Armand Vario, wants to create Celebration Village with a mix of independent living (apartments & concierge), attached homes (cottages & bungalows), and assisted living/memory care/personal care for people 55 and over. The total number of units is 375.  The assisted living center is proposed for three stories with a maximum height of 34 feet.

After review of the information provided in the application for Celebration Village, the Development Review Division offered the following issues:

• The site lies within the Shoal Creek Watershed Protection District.

• Pedestrian circulation shall meet all applicable requirements.

• The renderings submitted for the multifamily structures appear to meet the intent of the architectural requirements for multifamily structures as prescribed by the Coweta County Zoning and Development Ordinance, however a more detailed architectural package will be required at the time of permitting.
