Rea Ventures Group, which is looking to construct a single, 80-unit apartment building on 4.7 acres at the corner of Glynn Street (Hwy. 85) and Lafayette Avenue in Fayetteville, will host an information open house event on Wednesday, Apr. 20, 4-7 p.m., at the Old Train Depot located under the city’s water tower on East Lanier Avenue (Hwy. 54 westbound).
Many local residents are expressing concern over the project, which would also include commercial shops in that same building and would be the densest residential development in Fayetteville history. It would also, according to a letter from the developer, offer rental fees “at both market rates and at capped below-market ‘affordable’ housing rent levels”.
