Gunshots fired in PTC triggers arrest

A domestic disturbance call in Peachtree City escalated quickly April 28, and an Acworth man is behind bars facing multiple charges.

Ledderrick Moye is charged with less than an ounce of marijuana, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property, aggravated assault, obstruction of an officer, and cruelty to children in the third degree in the incident at 106 Garden Gate. The cruelty charge stems from children being in the home at the time of the incident.

Peachtree City Police spokesman Matt Myers said Moye was acquainted with someone in the house and got into a physical altercation outside the home. Myers said he slapped the person with a gun, and the victim fled into the house.

Then, Moye allegedly fired two shots in the direction of the home. He was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.
