Griffin Man Dead in Motorcycle Crash

A Griffin man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of GA Hwy 92 Connector and Helen Sams Parkway, according to Fayetteville authorities.

The accident happened on Oct. 26 and involved Jordan Jacob, 24, of Griffin, Georgia, and a 69-year-old Fayetteville woman.

“On Tuesday, October 26th, Fayetteville Police Department officers responded to a motor vehicle collision in the intersection of GA Hwy 92 Connector and Helen Sams Parkway involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle.” Fayetteville spokesperson Ann Marie Burdett said in a statement.

Authorities have yet to disclose who was at fault in the incident, stating that more investigation will ensue.

Jacob was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The 69-year-old woman was also transported to Piedmont with minor injuries.
