German Deputy Consul General Thomas Wülfing on Thursday morning drove down from his Atlanta office to visit Herr Patrick Wallace and his German language students at Whitewater High School south of Fayetteville.

The visit stemmed from a meeting between Wallace and Wülfing during this summer’s Atlanta German Business and Education Summit at the Goethe Center in Atlanta.

“The consulate is very active in German education in Georgia,” Wallace said. “We work closely with them.”

Wallace says part of his aim in teaching German language and culture is to prepare students who may wish to someday work here in Georgia with one of the German companies that have locations in the state, many of which are located in the Atlanta area.
