F’ville Police offer course on understanding use of force

As part of their continuing community outreach efforts, the Fayetteville Police Dept. is offering a course on understanding the use of force in policing.

The course is designed to help residents better understand how police are trained in using force and when force is to be used.

The course will be offered Aug. 6 and 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the training room at the Fayetteville Police Dept. For more information, contact Sergeant Darnell at ddarnell@fayetteville-ga.gov or 770-719-4216.

Due to COVID-19, participants are asked to wear a mask. The number of participants will also be limited to comply with social distancing guidelines.
