Fayetteville Police has apprehended the man responsible for two cell phone robberies in the area.
Kyle Robinson, 26 years old and from out of state, is in custody for two local cell phone robberies and is wanted by other metro area agencies for similar crimes.
On April 28, Robinson shoplifted a cell phone at the Cricket Wireless at Banks Crossing in Fayetteville. On July 18, he went back into the same store and got more violent, pepper spraying the clerk before snatching an iPhone and fleeing.
Fayetteville Police identified their suspect quickly, but believed he was out of state. According to Captain Jeff Harris with the Fayetteville Police Department, he was picked up in Fulton County, where he was held until he could be transferred to Fayette.
Robinson is charged with one county of Theft by Shoplifting from the April robbery and Theft by Taking, Robbery, and Aggravated Assault from the February incident.
