The first Whitewater-Starr’s Mill Alumni Game was a success, bringing out a big crowd for a fun game. In fact, there’s already talk about next year’s edition and how it could be even better.

Starr’s Mill responded with a touchdown pass from Robby Davis to Adam Rooks. Another Penland run gave Whitewater a 14-6 halftime lead.
Penland’s third score added to the margin. Colin Woody’s touchdown pushed Whitewater ahead 28-6.
Starr’s Mill’s Davis and Rooks connected again to make it 28-14.
The last big play of the game came on a short pass from David Byrd to Matthew Dodd that saw Dodd sprint through the defense for a long gain.
