Fayetteville Police looking for leads in Monday afternoon shooting incident

Fayetteville Police continue to investigate the Monday afternoon shooting incident that took place at the Discount Tobacco gas station located on Hwy. 85 North (North Glynn Street) at Kathi Avenue in Downtown Fayetteville. 

According to reports, occupants of two vehicles at the gas station interacted with each other, which led to a suspect opening fire at occupants in the other vehicle. The victim’s vehicle fled the scene northbound and a short distance later collided with a vehicle on Creekwood Trail.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The suspects’ vehicle, which was reported to be a black convertible BMW, possibly a 6 Series, with black rims, was seen driving away from the scene traveling northbound on Hwy. 85.

The suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous, and anyone encountering them should avoid confrontation and call 911.
