Fayetteville man killed in car crash

A local man is dead following a single-car crash late Monday night.

Around 11:30 p.m. Monday night, October 29, Ricky Alexander ran off the road near the intersection of Bernhard Road and Carroll’s Way and struck a tree and was ejected from the vehicle.

Alexander, 59 years old of Fayetteville, was killed in the crash. His car was the only one involved in the incident, and there were no other occupants of the vehicle.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating cause of the crash.
