Domesticated Partners photo exhibit celebrates animals in our lives

Competition open to photographers of all ages with Dec. 10 deadline for entry benefits Friends of Fayette County Animal Shelter

If you love animals and you’ve got a camera, you’ve got a great chance to help critters in need. Entering photos of your favorite animals along with a small donation earns you a chance to participate in a juried photography exhibition all while chipping in with a great group.

The Domesticated Partners photography exhibit will celebrate the animals in our lives while benefiting the Friends of Fayette County Animal Shelter, a foundation formed to support the local shelter with fundraising.

The exhibit, set for Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 4-7 p.m., will be hosted by Gremlin Growlers on the square in Fayetteville.
The call for submission is open to photographers of all ages and experience using all photographic processes. The deadline to submit up to four images is Sunday, December 10. A donation of $25 to Friends of the Fayette County Animal Shelter must be made to complete the entry. Entries can be sent to Donna Rosser with The Barefoot Photographer at barefoot.donna.rosser@gmail.com.

Entrants selected for the exhibition will be notified December 20. First place, second place, and third place will be selected by the juror, Susan Todd-Raque.

All images that are accepted for the exhibit must be made available for sale. Thirty percent of the sale price of the photos will go to Friends of Fayette County Animal Shelter. Photographers retain the copyright to their original work.
