A huge residential development planned to border Peachtree City has been withdrawn…for now.

The proposed development is located on Fischer Road, and the applicant, Armand Vario, wanted to create Celebration Village with a mix of independent living (apartments & concierge), attached homes (cottages & bungalows), and assisted living/memory care/personal care for people 55 and over.

The total number of units was 375. The assisted living center would have been three stories with a maximum height of 34 feet.

The issue was pulled before the Coweta County Commission could discuss it last Tuesday.

The proposed name submitted with the application, “Celebration Village” was also denied by the Name Review Committee, therefore a new name will have to be selected before permits are issued.
