Chiefettes, Pantherettes pick up wins on road to nationals

The Chiefettes (above) and Pantherettes (below) are headed the UDA National Dance Team Championship.

The McIntosh High School Chiefettes recently traveled to Spain Park High School in Hoover, AL for the UDA Alabama Dance Team Championship. They competed against teams from Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee and brought home First Place for both their Pom and Jazz routine. Their jazz routine was the highest scoring routine of the competition. The Chiefettes will compete against the top dance teams in the country at the UDA National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, FL January 31 and February 1.

The Starr’s Mill Pantherettes competed at the Heritage 5 Star Invitational in Ringgold, GA and racked up the wins. The Pantherettes won First in Jazz and Pom and won best overall choreography and second place senior soloist. Next up for the team is also the UDA National Dance Team Championship.
