In the overnight hours Tuesday, more than a dozen vehicles were entered by burglars at residences off South Jeff Davis.
Some time between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., suspects broke into the cars, some forcibly by punching the locks and some through unlocked doors, making off with at least three purses, a wallet, a cell phone, a laptop, and credit cards.
So far, investigators have identified 15 vehicles that were entered, with more likely to be discovered. Eight of the vehicles were at homes on Fontaine Way, with the other seven on Bellevue Loop.
The Sheriff’s Office wants to remind residents to lock their car doors and to remove valuables from their vehicles.
If anyone has surveillance footage of persons in or around their vehicles overnight, contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 770-716-4750.
