The three men arrested in the June 23 home invasion that resulted in the death of 74-year-old Albert DeMagnus each had their bonds denied at a bond hearing Thursday.
Travione Reynolds, 21, of Atlanta, Jeffrey Wallace, 22, of Atlanta, and Kavion Tookes, 21, of Decatur, will all need to wait until August to face a grand jury for the fatal stabbing that occurred early on a Friday morning.
“All of them had criminal histories,” District Attorney Ben Coker said, explaining why each of them had their bond denied.
Wallace and Tookes were arrested the day of the stabbing, while Reynolds wasn’t located and placed into custody until a week later.
Coker said Reynolds had been to DeMagnus’ residence before and was “an acquaintance of the granddaughter of the victim.”
