The 8U Fayette Allstars are USSSA World Series champions for 2019.

On June 23, the boys played a tournament in Griffin and won the 8U USSSA State Championship. They then had their eyes set on winning the World Series.

The squad arrived in New Orleans on Tuesday, July 9 to begin the weeklong World Series Tournament. The tournament was originally planned to be a double-elimination bracket, with the championship game on Sunday, July 14, but due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Barry, the association changed it to single elimination with the championship game on Friday, July 12.

The boys played through high winds, heavy rains, and immense temperatures which they are not accustomed to. They put in blood, sweat, and tears and competed against great teams, and on Friday evening they captured the 8U USSSA World Series Title.

The team was flawless at the state championship and World Series, racking up a perfect 13-0 record.

On Sunday, August 4 they will be recognized for their title at Suntrust Park during the Braves game.
