Attention race fans: After taking the weekend off for Memorial Day, Senoia Raceway is back in action this Saturday with a full night of racing. In three of its regular divisions, the pressure will intensify as there is extra money on the line, and with the recent rain the track should be set up for side-by-side sliding racing.
In Late Model Sportsman, the drivers will pay a $50 entry fee to put themselves into the $1,500 to win main event. Throughout the season, Dylan Knowles has dominated this division and has captured multiple checkered flags, so his competition will be looking to break his streak and capture the big payday. With the Late Model Sportsman featuring the most cars almost every week, the chance for a new victor is quite possible.
The Limited and Crate Models will also run for action cash with a pair of $1,000 to win races. Drivers like Dennis Hale, Bailey Williams, Jamie Maurice, Tina Johnson, and Marty Lunsford are expected to be in attendance hoping to claim the cash prize. Unlike the Sportsman class, these two divisions have welcomed multiple drivers to victory lane, so anything can happen when the cars take to the Senoia gumbo.
Along with these three-action packed and extra money to win races, Senoia Raceway will have on the schedule Hobby, Bomber, Mini Stocks, and Hot Shots classes. Come on out for what is sure to be a competitive night of racing and see who takes home this weeks checkered flags.
Grandstand tickets will be $12; ages 5-12 are $5; four and under are free. Pit passes and trackside are $30; ages 5-12 are $20; four and under are free. For more information go to www.senoiaraceway.com or contact the track at 770-599-6161.
