Assistant District Attorney Christy Jindra worked out a plea deal to put five defendants behind prison bars and one on probation in connection with the Dec. 2, 2015 home invasion and armed robbery at the Kenwood Landings Mobile Home Park off Milam Road near Hwy. 74 on the north end of Fayette County.

Eugene Butler, Kedric Butler, and Amerius Westmoreland, all Clayton County residents, were sentenced to serve 20 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation for their parts in the crime, which, according to Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reports involved the defendants storming the victims’ home wearing clown masks and holding handguns. They then reportedly separated the victims into different rooms as they robbed the place. At one point, a firearm was discharged in the home.

Accomplices Ariel Clark of Conley and Krista Clark-Davis of Hampton were also granted plea deals that will put them away in prison for five years before serving an additional 10 on probation.

The sixth defendant, Kamery Glaspy of Jonesboro, plead guilty to Making a False Statement for lying to law enforcement officers during the investigation. Glaspy had originally been charged with the same crimes as the others, but Jindra says there was evidence that Glaspy had been forced at gunpoint to serve as the getaway driver. Glaspy was sentenced to three years of probation for her charge.

All of the defendants were between 17 and 22 years old at the time of their arrests.
