The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that six Fayette County teens have been arrested on charges stemming from a Feb. 16 burglary on Old Greenville Road that reportedly took place while a young resident was in the home.
According to sheriff’s office spokesman Allen Stevens, deputies responded to a 12:47 p.m. call that day that a burglary was in progress on Old Greenville Road. They later learned that a young female was hiding in the home after hearing the suspected burglars breaking the door down. It was the young female’s stepfather who reportedly called 911 after his stepdaughter contacted him.
“They never knew she was there,” Stevens said. “There was no injury to her.”
Deputies have since arrested six teens, who Stevens says may also be suspects in other burglaries.
“They are being invested for other burglaries in the Peachtree City area,” Stevens said.
Weldon Lee Turner, 17, of Peachtree City; Tristin Demetrius Hudson, 17, of Peachtree City; Chaz Tyler Moore, 17, of Tyrone; and Jackson Isaiah Dailey, 17, of Fayetteville were each charged with two counts of Burglary and single counts of Constructive Possession of a Handgun (Under 18) and Participation in Criminal Gang Activity. Mary Kathleen Clark, 17, of Fayetteville was charged with two counts of Party to a Crime of Burglary, Constructive Possession of a Handgun (Under 18) and Participation in Criminal Gang Activity. Another teenager, aged 16, was charged with one count of Burglary as well as Constructive Possession of a Handgun (Under 18) and Participation in Criminal Gang Activity.
