Fun, flexibility, and felines

It wasn’t your usual yoga class. Saturday morning’s first Kitten Yoga session brought together health-conscious fitness seekers with some adorable feline partners.

The event presented by Whiskers-n-Paws brought together adoptable kittens from Fayette Humane Society and animal lovers for a fun morning.
The Southern Conservation Trust offices in Peachtree City played host to the class led by Yoga instructor Tami Morris. Morris’s class focuses on gentle postures to release muscle tension, increase flexibility, and restore the body and mind.

A sold-out class enjoyed soaking up the relaxing atmosphere combined with the soothing presence of a dozen kittens. Bonds were formed and positive energy was built.

Funds raised from the event go to support both Whiskers-n-Paws and Fayette Humane Society.

The next area kitten yoga classes are set for June 17 and 30. For more information, visit www.whiskers-n-paws.org.
