Fayetteville Police are looking for a suspect they say robbed the Chase Bank location on the south side of the city Tuesday morning.
According to Captain Jeff Harris, the incident took place around 9 a.m. when the suspect approached a teller and handed over a letter demanding all of the money from the cash drawer. He said the suspect did get away with an undisclosed amount of money, and he left the bank on foot in the direction of Hwy. 85.
Harris said the suspect did not display a weapon.
The suspect, whose image was captured by security video cameras inside the bank, appears to be a black male of medium to muscular build wearing dark shoes, blue pants, an orange Hollister hood, and a white cap with a black band around it. The suspect appears to also have a mustache and beard.
It was reported by this newspaper on Nov. 8 that Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies on that day arrested a suspect, 37-year-old Apollo Cornelius Tumbling of Jonesboro, in the Nov. 2 armed robbery of the Fidelity Bank location just outside Fayetteville city limits in Hwy. 54 West corridor.
Anyone with information about the Tuesday morning Chase Bank robbery is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441 or 770-461-HELP (4357).
